Civic Spirit is excited to introduce Student Alumni Internships — a new opportunity for students who have previously participated in Civic Spirit programming.
We are seeking energetic and passionate high school seniors or graduates eager to enhance their development as a professional and contribute towards the mission of Civic Spirit to educate, inspire, and empower schools across faith traditions in enhancing civic belonging, knowledge, and responsibility in their student, faculty, and parent communities. Selected students will have the opportunity to join staff meetings, participate in enriching learning, and practice collaboration across their differences.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school senior or college student
- Alumni of Civic Spirit programming
- Excited written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, efficient, and responsive to emails
- Passionate about empowering teachers and students
LOGISTICS and COMPENSATION
- All internships are remote.
- Internships are approximately 5 hours/week (work schedule will be based on the intern’s school schedule)
- 9-month internships will begin as a 3-month opportunity with a possible extension for the full school year. Payment of $400 will be paid at the end of each 3 months.
- 3-month internships are compensated with a $400 stipend, paid at the conclusion of the internship.

List of Internship Opportunities
Social Media Intern
Reports to Lindsay Bressman, Civic Spirit Executive Director
Start with 3 months; possible extension to 9 months
- Competency in social media content (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
- Brainstorm and implement social media campaigns
- Create social and video content
- Monitor and respond to followers on various platforms
- Support development of the editorial content calendar
- Excellent in managing multiple social media channels
- All content must be reviewed and approved by the Executive Director prior to posting
Programs Intern
Reports to Yael Steiner, Associate Director of Programs
3-months
- Assist in preparing materials for events (e.g. schedules, participant bios, text readers)
- Provide support with Zoom during events
- Support development and analysis of surveys and other program evaluation tools
- Must have excellent organizational skills and experience in project coordination
Civic Design Challenge Intern
Reports to Tiphanie Shoemaker, Director of Education
3-months
- Support development of student-centered content and learning tools
- Assist in preparing materials (scoring rubric, flyers, handouts)
- Provide support with Zoom during events
Student Delegate Intern
Reports to Matthew Brownstein, Dir. of Student Delegates Program
9-months
- Coordinate and maintain communication with all students in the Student Delegates Program
- Oversee project timelines & encourage students to meet deadlines
- Uphold norms, roles, and responsibilities at all times
- Be supportive of all students
