In Spring 2019, we launched a new project, A Prayer for America.
This “call” asked our students to use their creative voices and their reverence for prayer as a convener to elevate their commitment and their hopes and dreams for America.
What emerged was a beautiful quilt of messages that rocked us to our core, reminding us of the possibility of humanity.
Of the 50+ prayers that were submitted, two were selected to be read at Civic Spirit Day as the opening to the day-long student convening devoted to “service” as a civic virtue. Below are the two selected prayers.
