The Constitution Comes to Life

At any age, it is hard to make sense of traditional legal words on parchment paper. Add to the confusion hundreds of years of social and linguistic changes, and it becomes quite difficult to interpret constitutional Articles and Amendments and how they relate to modern life.

The National Constitution Center is a multi-media, interactive museum for all ages that brings the U.S. Constitution to life. This year’s “Hamilton” exhibit focuses on “The Constitutional Clashes that Shaped a Nation” and explores the relationships among the Founding Fathers and how their disagreements created the country we know today.

While themed student packages and visiting opportunities are available for those who can travel to Philadelphia, all schools can access an interactive Constitution on the Center’s website which provides ancillary explanations by modern authors of every clause in the Constitution.
